Kia Motability – Are You Eligible?

If you receive a government-funded mobility allowance, you will be able to benefit from the Motability Scheme. As long as you have 12 months of payments remaining on the following you should be eligible:

  • Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance;
  • Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of the Personal Independence Payment;
  • War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement; or
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment.

Don't worry if you think you're too old to apply, there's no upper age limit. In fact, a third of those who benefit from the scheme are over 65. If you have a child over the age of three with disabilities, you can also claim on their behalf.

Many applicants include designated drivers such as carers, friends or family – which means that, even if you don't drive, there's no reason not to take advantage of this great opportunity.

To check your eligibility, you can visit the Department of Work and Pensions website, the Veterans UK website, or simply give us a call to speak with one of our Motability experts.
